Executive Officers’ Election Underway

Nominations are now being accepted for Executive Officer seats at OCSF. Nominations can be made until June 12^th, after which all nominees will be reviewed by the board. Voting will take place at the July board meeting.

OCSF is also accepting nominations for open board “member at large” seats. You may also submit yourself for consideration. If you or someone you know is interested in making a nomination to the board, email us at board@ocsf.org.

We are pleased to announce the 2011-12 OCSF scholarship recipients:

These Oregon City High School seniors were chosen based on their academic record, extracurricular involvement, and strength of character. Each applicant also wrote a short essay on how a continued education would affect their lives. Congratulations!

Mission

The mission of the Oregon City Schools Foundation is to encourage philanthropic gifts for student scholarships, program enhancements, capital projects, and activities in support of Oregon City Schools and the school community. While being guided by this mission the OCSF has outlined three goals to help facilitate the vision for all children to reach their full potential.

To raise funds for endowed scholarships for outstanding Oregon City High School graduating senior students to further their educations at Oregon Colleges.
To promote community and alumni interest and participation in the enhancement of education in Oregon City Schools.
To promote the visibility of the Oregon City Schools Foundation in the community.

Starting this foundation from scratch has been a real challenge! We are sincerely grateful for the support we have enjoyed in our efforts to begin the process of establishing an important support system for the Oregon City Schools.

Many people have volunteered to help us, others have provided financial support and still others are working with us to get our message out to the community. We obviously hope many others will see our mission as one they wish to support.

Please let us know how we can facilitate your support for the youth of our community and their pursuit of learning!
