Oregon Battle of the Books 2024!

  • Over 700 books delivered to district elementary schools, including audio and multilingual books

  • 300+ students participated in 2024

  • Encouraging students to read more

  • All district elementary schools participated

  • Books become part of the permanent library after the competition for all students to enjoy!

Here is what teachers and administrators had to say:

After OBOB, these books are kept together for reading groups and are available for teacher and student use
— Kristin Ventura-Stein
The first year of OBOB here at John McLoughlin was a great success and we can’t wait until next year!
— Dani Shortt
Often students have to wait for a book to become available. Thanks to your generous donation, we had enough books to go around. This really made a huge difference!”
— Kristin Ventura-Stein

We Are The

oregon-city-school-foundation-final.png

Our mission is to make Oregon City the best place to raise a child.

In order to do that, we provide financial support to students and our schools so that all children in the greater Oregon City Community are inspired and prepared to be life-long learners and productive citizens of the community, the country, and the world.

Today’s students.
Tomorrow’s leaders.

Together with your help we provide students with the stepping stones they deserve, in order to give them the best chance at lasting success.

Oregon City Schools Foundation seeks to develop a community wide commitment to support a quality education for all children from birth through 12th grade.

We promote a college and career going culture

beginning in elementary school that encourages and supports enrollment in college or career education upon graduation from high school. Our goal is a highly skilled work force that lives, works and plays in Oregon City.

AN INVESTMENT IN OUR KIDS IS AN INVESTMENT IN OUR COMMUNITY.
